On the Road: Celestial Sounds at Murie Ranch
About this event
Craig Hauschildt, percussion Riely Francis, percussion Kana Kimura, violin Celestial Sounds: In a special collaboration with Wyoming Stargazing, GTMF percussionist Craig Hauschildt curates a program of music meant to be heard after dark! The night sky comes alive in this uniquely atmospheric concert, perfect for the peaceful setting of the Murie Ranch. Join us for a Front Porch Conversation with astronomy educator Dr. Samuel Singer and GTMF percussionist Craig Hauschildt. They’ll share insights from their careers, explore their shared experiences, and discuss how their musical backgrounds have shaped their connection to stargazing and astronomy. Then, stick around for a special nighttime performance at 9 PM featuring Craig and other special GTMF guests. In GTMF’s On the Road series, Stoner Family Education Curator Meaghan Heinrich leads programs that are accessible to all ages and bring music to life with explanations and demonstrations. Programming for this free concert is forthcoming. Special thanks to Gillespie Community Truck for letting us use their truck to transport equipment for the event....
