ArtWORKS: The Business of Being an Artist
About this event
Join us for **Art*WORKS*,** a professional development series presented by the Arts Council of Park City & Summit County, designed to help creative professionals build sustainable, thriving careers. On **August 14**, join us for **The Business of Being an Artist**, a workshop exploring the practical skills and strategies that support a successful creative business. Whether you're an emerging artist or an established creative looking to grow your practice, you'll gain valuable insights into the financial, operational, and entrepreneurial side of making a living through the arts. The workshop begins with **Tim Fellow**, Managing Partner at Ontic Partners, who will share practical guidance on the financial, HR, and operational foundations that help creative professionals and mission-driven organizations thrive. Then, **Emily Miquelon**, a full-time working artist, will share her personal journey to building a sustainable creative career. Drawing from her own experience, Emily will discuss diversifying revenue streams, finding paid creative opportunities, navigating the realities of self-employment, and building a resilient arts practice. You'll leave with practical tools, real-world perspectives, and new connections with fellow artists and creatives in our community. Join us at CREATE PC at **1500 Kearns Blvd,Space F110, Park City, UT 84060.** We'll have plenty of time for questions and networking as well. This event is free to the community. RSPVs encouraged.
